What a deep clean covers in a Tampa house
A deep clean starts with everything in a standard visit, meaning the kitchen, bathrooms, floors, dusting and surfaces, and then moves on to the detail work. Baseboards and door frames are wiped by hand. Light switches and door handles are cleaned. Ceiling fans and blinds are dusted, window sills and tracks are cleared, the microwave is scrubbed inside and the outside of every cabinet is wiped. We vacuum behind and under furniture that can be moved, and bathroom tile and grout are scrubbed instead of only mopped.
Inside the oven, inside the fridge and inside the cabinets are add-ons at $45 each. They are worth adding if the kitchen has been in daily use for a long stretch or you are getting the house ready for guests.
What's included in deep cleaning
- Everything in a standard clean
- Baseboards, door frames, light switches, ceiling fans
- Inside microwave, outside of cabinets, behind and under movable furniture
- Detailed scrubbing of grout, tile and fixtures
- Blinds wiped, window sills and tracks cleared
Older Tampa homes need more scrubbing
Carrollwood and Temple Terrace have a lot of ranch houses from the 1970s and 1980s. Terrazzo and older tile hold dirt in the grout lines and along the edges of each room, and a mop alone does not lift it. On a deep clean we scrub those lines by hand, along with the tile around tubs and toilets. Popcorn ceilings tend to gather cobwebs in the corners, so we check corners and the tops of door frames room by room.
Bungalows and renovated older houses in Seminole Heights and Hyde Park are a different job. Wood floors are dry-dusted first and then damp-mopped with a cleaner made for sealed wood, never soaked. Detailed trim, baseboards and window sills catch more dust in these houses than in a new build, so we give them extra time.
New Tampa, Tampa Palms and Westchase are mostly 1990s and 2000s builds with tile floors, big kitchens and screened lanais. There the deep clean leans on the kitchen, the grout in each bathroom, and the fans and blinds in every room.
Price by square footage
Deep cleaning is priced only by the size of the home and the type of clean, not by the number of bedrooms or bathrooms. A bungalow of 1,000 to 1,499 sq ft is $330. A ranch house of 1,500 to 1,999 sq ft is $440. A New Tampa or Westchase home of 2,000 to 2,499 sq ft is $550. From 1,500 sq ft up a deep clean is booked at twice the hours of a standard visit of the same house, which is why it costs more. The full table is below.
Where we drive from
Our base is in Wesley Chapel. New Tampa and Tampa Palms are about twenty minutes away along Bruce B. Downs, Carrollwood and Temple Terrace are in the middle, and Westchase, Hyde Park and Seminole Heights take closer to forty. If you live south of Gandy or on the beaches, send your ZIP code first and we will tell you honestly whether we can fit you in. Visits run Monday to Saturday; Sunday is closed. Send the form with your square footage and neighborhood, or pick a time at lilly-maids.com/booknow.
Before the visit, a short note about the state of the house helps, and a few photos help more. If you would rather we use green cleaning products, tick that option; it costs nothing extra. Bookings have a four-hour minimum, and you can reschedule for free up to the day before.
Prices
Priced by square footage. A deep clean is priced per visit. Recurring schedules use the standard table, with weekly visits 15% off and every other week 10% off from the second visit. Minimum booking 4 hours. Extras and details.

Common questions
Do you deep-clean terrazzo floors?
Yes. Terrazzo and older tile get a wet mop, and on a deep clean the grout lines and the room edges where dirt collects are scrubbed by hand.
Which part of Tampa is closest to you?
New Tampa and Tampa Palms, about twenty minutes from our Wesley Chapel base. Carrollwood and Temple Terrace are in the middle, and Westchase, Hyde Park and Seminole Heights are at the far end of the route, up to about forty minutes.
Does the number of bathrooms change the price?
No. The price depends only on square footage and the type of clean. A 2,000 to 2,499 sq ft home is $550 for a deep clean whatever the room count.
Can I start recurring service after the deep clean?
Yes, many recurring clients start that way. Weekly visits are 15% off and every other week 10% off from the second visit of the schedule; ask when booking how the deep clean and the schedule line up.
