Standard, deep and add-on: the short version
A standard clean keeps a home that is already in good shape clean. A deep clean does everything in a standard clean, then reaches the parts a regular visit walks past. Add-ons are specific jobs, such as the inside of the oven, that are not in either clean unless you ask for them.
Book a deep clean as a first visit before a recurring schedule, as a seasonal reset, before or after guests, after a renovation, or when the home has not been professionally cleaned in a long time.
- Standard: kitchen, bathrooms, floors, dusting, surfaces, trash
- Deep: standard plus baseboards, door frames, light switches, ceiling fans, blinds, window sills and tracks, inside the microwave, outside of cabinets, behind and under movable furniture, scrubbing of grout, tile and fixtures
- Add-on: inside fridge, inside oven, inside cabinets, dishes, laundry and folding, organization, interior windows
Kitchen
The kitchen gets the most time on a deep clean because grease and food residue build up on surfaces that a quick wipe does not reach.
- Counters wiped and degreased (standard)
- Sink scrubbed and fixtures cleaned (standard)
- Stovetop cleaned (standard)
- Outside of appliances wiped (standard)
- Inside of the microwave scrubbed (deep)
- Outside of all cabinets wiped, including handles (deep)
- Light switches and door handles cleaned (deep)
- Baseboards wiped (deep)
- Floor vacuumed and mopped (standard)
- Inside the fridge (add-on, $45)
- Inside the oven (add-on, $45)
- Inside cabinets (add-on, $45)
- Dishes (add-on, $20)
Bathrooms
On a standard visit bathroom floors are mopped. On a deep clean tile and grout are scrubbed rather than mopped, and fixtures are detailed.
- Toilet cleaned inside and out (standard)
- Shower and tub cleaned (standard)
- Sink and counter cleaned (standard)
- Mirrors cleaned (standard)
- Floor cleaned (standard)
- Tile and grout scrubbed (deep)
- Fixtures detailed (deep)
- Outside of vanity cabinets wiped (deep)
- Baseboards, door frames and light switches wiped (deep)
- Inside cabinets (add-on, $45)
Bedrooms
Bedrooms collect dust in places that are easy to skip: on top of door frames, on fan blades and under the bed.

- Behind and under movable furniture vacuumed (deep)
- Laundry and folding (add-on, $20)

Homes with pets, older floors and new construction
A few situations change how the checklist is worked. Homes with pets need extra vacuuming, attention to baseboards and more time for hair on floors and upholstery, so tell us about pets in the booking. Wood floors are dry-dusted and damp-mopped with a cleaner made for sealed wood, never soaked; tile and terrazzo get a grout scrub. In new construction, builder dust sits in vents, on top of cabinets and in window tracks, and the deep clean is the visit that reaches it. After a renovation the same applies; removal of construction debris is quoted separately.
What is not on the checklist
Some jobs are outside a deep clean and are not on the extras list either. Exterior windows, carpet shampooing and removal of construction debris are not part of the visit. If you need something that is not listed here, ask before booking and we will tell you whether it is something we do.
If a property manager or a specific situation requires its own checklist, send it with your booking and we will check it against what we do.
How to prepare for a deep clean
A little preparation lets the team spend the visit cleaning rather than moving things:
- Pick up clothes, toys and papers from floors and counters
- Clear the counters you want cleaned underneath
- Tell us about pets in the booking so enough time is planned
- Tell us about any surface that needs a specific product, such as a wood-floor cleaner
- Send a short note or a few photos of the state of the house
- Choose green cleaning products in the form if you prefer them; there is no extra charge
How long it takes and what it costs
A deep clean is booked at more hours than a standard clean of the same home because of the detail work, twice the hours from 1,500 sq ft up. It is priced by square footage, from $220 for a home up to 999 sq ft, $330 for 1,000 to 1,499 sq ft and $440 for 1,500 to 1,999 sq ft. The full table is on this page. The minimum booking is 4 hours, and the number of bedrooms does not change the price.
After a deep clean, a recurring standard visit keeps the result. Weekly visits are 15% off and every-other-week visits are 10% off the standard price, starting with the second visit. To book, use lilly-maids.com/booknow or call or text (813) 761-7600.

Amazing work! I didn’t move in as a new tenant, so I inherited someone else’s mess and never had a deep clean. Turned my depressing apartment into a place that I actually want to spend time. I’ve just become a regular customer!! 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Common questions
What is the difference between a standard clean and a deep clean?
A standard clean covers the kitchen, bathrooms, floors, dusting, surfaces and trash. A deep clean adds baseboards, door frames, light switches, ceiling fans, blinds, sills and tracks, inside the microwave, outside of cabinets, behind and under movable furniture, and scrubbing of grout, tile and fixtures.
Is the inside of the oven and fridge part of a deep clean?
No, each is a $45 add-on on a deep clean. Choose them in the booking form or ask when you book.
Do I need a deep clean before recurring service?
In most cases, yes. A recurring visit maintains a clean home; the deep clean is what gets it there. If the home was professionally cleaned recently, a standard visit may be enough.
Do you clean homes with pets?
Yes. Tell us about pets in the booking so the visit is planned with enough time for pet hair.
Can I use my own products?
Tell us in the form if you want a specific product used on a surface and we will confirm before the visit. Green cleaning products are available at no extra charge.
